Traditional shaving

Traditional shaving

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
Welcome to the Handmade Soap Company shaving Blog. Here we will have reviews, stories, music and anything to do with shaving.
Firstly here is a quick low down on traditional shaving.
You may be looking at this wondering what the big fuss is about. Well let me tell you shaving is a very important part of a man’s day. It is also a pain if not done correctly. In case you’re not aware there is a much more enjoyable and relaxing way of shaving than using the common ‘foam and multi-blade cartridge. Your daily chore of shaving can be transformed into a pleasurable daily ritual. With no irritation from pulling hairs or razor burn, your skin will look and feel more healthy and soothed. That itchy feeling of irritated skin will be gone; and you can say goodbye to ingrown hairs. Your skin will thank you for it.
The alternative to expensive disposable razors my friends are traditional double-edge razors. You will start saving money after only a short time using this method. The double-edge, more effective blade costs on average 10 cent! Also the shaving soap will give you months off use, and a good razor will last you for years.
The first week or two will require some patience as you learn this new shaving method and get accustomed to the new blades. But it doesn’t take long to get the hang of, and then you will have better shaves for the rest of your life. So just imagine the awakening and invigorating feeling of massaging creamy lather over your skin and stubble, followed by a clean, close shave the old fashioned way.
If your still too loyal to your cartridge razor you can still benefit from using a quality soap and shaving brush.

You should check out the video Donagh made on how to shave.
